I am currently looking for a Drilling Engineer for an Oil and Gas Company based in Jakarta.
Specifically the incumbent will:
· Conduct well design and other required exploration wells. Ensure that all well plans, designs and well programmes meet defined well objectives, required performance standards, budget and schedule.
- Preparation of scopes of work for tenders and evaluation of tenders.
- Preparation of well cost estimates.
- Day to day operations support during drilling activity.
- Preparing and conducting pre-spud meetings.
- Preparation of drilling programmes and end of well reports.
- Actively participate in promotion of HS&E initiatives.
· Ensure that all well plans, designs and well programmes and regulatory submissions are prepared to and conform with the Company’s and legislative procedures and timeframes.
· To be responsible for cost and technical reviews of drilling, suspension and abandonment operations in order that areas for improvement are identified so future projects can benefit.
· To pro-actively forge good relationships with internal and external network contacts, so that up to date information is exchanged and all queries satisfactorily answered.
· Liaise with project and exploration groups to meet their objectives in a safe and efficient manner.
Experience:
· BS or BSc in Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum of ten years experience in Drilling Engineering.
· Experience of drilling operations and tendering for well services.
· Experience in Semi drilling operations.
· Ability to work independently, with small measure of supervision. Self starter
· Have a safety orientated culture.
· Good knowledge of well planning software.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to deliver according to an agreed schedule.
· Team player with good communication skills, drive and enthusiasm.
· Able to work in multi-discipline team.
