Alam Sehat Lestari: Needs doctors, nurses, conservation manager

Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI) is an innovative new program with the goal
of improving both human and environmental health around Gunung Palung
National Park in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. This park represents one
the few remaining strongholds for orangutans, an important
conservation area for a broad diversity of Bornean plants and animals,
and a vital watershed for local communities surrounding the park. ASRI
is committed to raising the capacity of its conservation and medical
staff and building a dynamic, enthusiastic team. Further information

ASRI POSITIONS WE ARE SEEKING TO FILL:

A. General Medical Doctors, 2 people
B. Nurses, 2 people
C. Conservation Program Manager, 1 person

REQUIREMENTS:

1. GENERAL

- Indonesian citizenship
- able to relocate to Sukadana, West Kalimantan
- possesses a genuine interest in improving the lives of people in
rural Borneo
willing to work and stay for short periods in isolated villages around
Gunung Palung National Park
- motivated to learn new skills and have new experiences
- able to commit to working with ASRI for a minimum of one year
- able to work with both Indonesian and foreign staff, professional
consultants, and volunteers

2. SPECIFIC

A. Doctors
- individuals who have completed their PTT are preferred
able to communicate in English

B. Nurses
- individuals who can speak English or who are motivated to learn
English are preferred
willing and able to take on a broad range of nursing tasks

C. Conservation Program Manager
- Masters degree level (S2)
ready to manage the ASRI conservation program, conservation ed
activities, and organic farm
ready to help run the ASRI incentive system, in which special
healthcare services are provided to communities who help conserve
Gunung Palung National Park
